This largest vineyard in Małopolska, which covers an area of 28 hectares, was founded in 2010 by wine enthusiasts from Krakow – Mirosław Jaxa Kwiatkowski and Mikołaj Tyc. The vineyard upholds the medieval tradition of grape cultivation by monks in the 10th century, and the wine production takes place within the historic walls of the monastery. The best-known varieties from Srebrna Góra include Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir, Zweigelt, Regent, Seyval Blanc. The famous Polish oenologist Agnieszka Rousseau is responsible for overseeing wine production. The vineyard is also famous for making the St Martin young wine, which premieres during the Young Wine Festival, which has been organised for a couple of years now. The wines from Srebrna Góra win numerous awards in prestigious wine competitions, they are also available in many shops and restaurants around Poland.
